Bengaluru: Fiza signs MOU with Karnataka govt

Bengaluru, Feb 5: BM Farookh, chairman and managing director of Fiza group of companies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Karnataka for developing wind power projects in Karnataka for a capacity of 405.6 MW with an investment of around Rs 2,433.60 crore in collaboration with Singapore based MNC Sembcorp, one of the the largest energy generating companies in the world.



D K Shivakumar, minister for energy has handed over the MOU to B M Farookh, during the Invest Karnataka 2016 energy summit held at Bengaluru Palace on February 3 in the presence of managing director of Karnataka Renewable Energy Ltd, G V Balaram and additional chief secretary energy, Ravikumar.

Fiza Developers and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, has been a pioneer in the field of renewable energy sector for more than two decades and has developed various eco friendly renewable energy projects across India. The projects are proposed to come across various places in Karnataka. These projects are likely to be commissioned before 2018. The projects will contribute to the development of the state and will help to meet the power crisis.
