Anita Dongre to style for 'Yarri Dostii Shaadi'

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS): Fashion designer Anita Dongre will style wedding couples and a few of their best friends at marriage events covered in the forthcoming show "Yarri Dostii Shaadi". Known for her bespoke traditional creations, she says designing for someone's special day was always her dream.

"Shooting for 'Yarri Dostii Shaadi' has been a very special experience for me. Designing an ensemble for someone's special day to make it perfect has always been a dream. The experience was a roller coaster of fun, excitement and creativity," Dongre said in a statement.

"We had a great time shooting so far with some amazing memories to take back. On the show, one of the brides danced in her own baraat (procession). This is something I’ve never seen before,” she added.

To be aired on NDTV Good Times starting February 14, the show will be anchored by Aalekh Kapoor and Harleen Sethi. It will bring in the fun at Indian weddings from best men and bridesmaids' lens.

The twist in the tale is the friend who will be the secret candid eye taking viewers through events and giving a peak into the happenings at the wedding. The show covers the three to five days' affair of big fat Indian weddings.
