Mangaluru, Feb 4: Srinivas Institute of Technology’s 'Lalitharanga' Fine arts club was inaugurated on February 3.




Dr M Mohan Alva, an active cultural benefactor and chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he highlighted the rich cultural legacy of India and emphasized that today’s students should be the brand ambassadors of an incredible India. He also stressed on the fact that by innovating their cultural talents, students can aspire to have a healthy mindset, an essential ingredient to be a good citizen. Srinivas Deshpande, chief manager and PRO, Karnataka Bank Ltd, HO Mangaluru was the guest of honour. He opined that students endowed with a strong cultural foundation will excel in academics too. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college and president of the function, echoed the sentiments of the eminent speakers on the occasion. He congratulated the association members for implementing innovative ideas and said that many more activities should be conducted for the development of students.

Shrivibhu, president of Lalitharanga welcomed the gathering, Abhinanadan introduced the chief guest to the gathering, Ayana Perla, secretary of Lalitharanga presented the vote of thanks. Prof K Sadananda Upadhyaya cultural coordinator was also present. Prajwal Upadhyaya and Deeksha were the masters of ceremony at the program.
