Sullia: Notorious motor bike thieves arrested

Sullia, Feb 3: Two notorious motor bike thieves, who reportedly were involved with several thefts involving two-wheelers, were arrested by police personnel from Subrahmanya station in the taluk on the night of Monday February 1. The arrested men have been identified as Srikanth (23) from Hunasemarada Halli in Turuvekere taluk, and Sridhar alias Yashwant (19), a resident of Subhadra Palya in Bengaluru.

The duo has been accused of stealing a motor bike belonging to Ramesh from Bilinele village in Puttur taluk, which had been parked by him on Friday night in front of his house. After Ramesh filed a complaint in Subrahmanya police station, policemen were looking for lthe stolen motor bike. Some policemen,during their patrol duty on Monday night, found two persons moving about suspiciously at Volalambe near Guthigar village. They were brought to the police station and questioned, after which they gave out the details.

Policemen said that the duo had taken part in various thefts of two-wheelers. A case was registered in the polcie station at Subrahmanya and the accused were produced in the court here.
