East India Hotels Q3 profit rises by 21.69 percent


Chennai, Jan 30 (IANS): East India Hotels (EIH) said its third quarter standalone profit for fiscal 2015-2016 grew by 21.69 percent at Rs.18.40 crore.

EIH, formerly East India Hotels, which operates hotels and resorts under the Oberoi and Trident brand names, posted a net profit for Rs.15.12 crore in Q3 2014 - 15. Net profit grew by Rs.3.28 crore on a quarter-on-quarter basis.

According to the unaudited standalone financial results, posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), EIH earned a total income of Rs.77.03 crore in the quarter under review against Rs.74.54 crore in the previous quarter.

Total expenses in Q3 2015-16 rose to Rs.52.28 crore from Rs.49.85 crore in the year ago quarter.
