Mumbai, Jan 25: Kannada Sangh, Santacruz held their annual Arasina Kumkuma programme at Billavara Bhavan, Santacruz east on Friday evening, January 22.
Chief guest Rathna Prabhakar Shetty lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.
Speaking on the occasion, Kalpana Shetty said “The part of women is special in this religious programme. All women should participate in it and be blessed.”
President, Kannada Sangh, L V Ameen presided over the programme. Sudha L Ameen, Neetha Chapekar, Kalpana Krishna Shetty, Shashi Nithyananda Kotian, Sujatha Ramesh Kotian, Jayanthi V Ullal and Yashodha B Poonja were present as guests.
Honorary treasurer CA Ramesh A Shetty, Education committee executive president B Ravindra Ameen, Joint secretary Chandrahas J Kotian, G R Bangera, Lingappa Ameen, Womens wing's Shakila P Shetty, Vanitha Y Nonda, Shalini G Shetty, Suma M Poojary and others were present.
Women's wing office bearers and members were present. Social and cultural committee executive president Sharada S Poojary welcomed. Honorary chief secretary Sujatha R Shetty compered the programme. Secretary Laxmi Kotian introduced the guests and proposed vote of thanks.
