Washington, Jan 22 (IANS): United States and DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid underwent a knee surgery and will be out of the competitions for 4-6 months.
The 25-year-old will miss the World Cup qualifier against Guatemala in March. But he will be hopefully available for the matches in September against Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and Grenada, the Major League Soccer (MLS) club announced on Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Andrew Dykstra will take over for Hamid. DC United begin pre-season training next week in Florida.
