Mangaluru, Jan 16: Babar Ali who became the headmaster at the age of sixteen and was called as the ‘youngest headmaster in the world’ by BBC in October 2009, visited the Vikas PU College on Saturday, January 16. He was honoured by the staff and students of the college.
The first PU students of Karnataka have a chapter on him in their English subject. Babar Ali, along with his father, is well known for the services in the field of education for the poor and down trodden in West Bengal.
He was felicitated by the school authorities amidst hundreds of students who thronged to see the special personality.
Babar Ali expressed his happiness for the warm welcome accorded to him by the staff and students. He called upon the students to spend their talent and energy for the betterment of society.
He further said that students can change the society through their imagination and dedication.
Advisor Ananth Prabhu,Trustee Shri Koragappa, principal, staff and students were present on the occasion.
