Chikkamagaluru, Jan 13 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Tuesday that directors would be appointed to the boards and corporations after the panchayat elections. He was speaking to reporters at Tarikere in the district.
The chief minister said that one election after another had held up the appointments. Siddaramaiah said that some of the works undertaken by his government would leave a lasting impression.
He denied charges that the Congress was neglecting the Veerashaiva community. The chief minister claimed that investments to the tune of Rs 1.25 lakh crore had flown into the State during his tenure.
A total of 2.5 lakh jobs had been created, Siddaramaiah said. The BJP was spreading lies in this regard, he added.
Siddaramaiah said that Home Minister G Parameshwara had been made the incharge minister for Chikkamagaluru, after Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment requested that he be divested of the responsibility of the district.
