New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS): Boyce Avenue will finally come to India and they are all charged up to strike a right note with their maiden tour in the country.
The American rock band of three brothers will perform in Mumbai and Bengaluru in February as a part of their two-city tour.
The band, comprising of Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano, which found fame through the digital route after becoming a YouTube sensation, was excited to embark on a musical relationship with India.
The news about the band coming to the country surfaced on several virtual platforms, giving Indian fans a reason to cheer.
A post on the official Facebook page of the band read: "The aa#aZBeSomebodya World tour is coming to INDIA in Feb!! First trip ever! Cant wait to play Mumbai & Bangalore! Another date coming & tickets will be on sale soon! wink emoticon http://boyceavenue.com/".
Their Twitter page also evinced the same news: "The #BeSomebody World tour is coming to INDIA in Feb!! First trip ever! Cant wait to play Mumbai & Bangalore! Tkts on sale soon!".
According to boyceavenue.com, the trio will perform in Mumbai at Blue Frog on February 12, and then move to Bengaluru for their gig at The Humming Tree on February 13.
The group will come to India to participate in Stage42 Festival.
The Stage42 festival travels to several cities in India with an aim to showcase some of India and the world's most celebrated artists and experiences in comedy, music, theatre and food.
Last year, it took place in seven cities -- Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune -- between February and March.
The trio, found their ticket to fame by uploading covers on YouTube before releasing original music in 2009.
They mostly cover well-known hits by Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khalifa, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, and Bruno Mars.
Boyce Avenue boasts more than 7.8 million followers on YouTube channel.
With gigs by Skrillex, Afrojack, Slash and David Guetta, the music calendar for 2015 was quite impressive.
The announcement by Boyce Avenue signals the foreign musical wave in India will only get stronger and intense in 2016.
