London, Jan 8 (IANS): English Premier League side Everton has announced it has signed Swiss striker Shani Tarashaj for four seasons from Swiss club Grasshoppers.
The 20-year-old forward, of Albanian origin, scored eight goals in 18 matches with Grasshoppers during the current season of the Swiss Super League, reports Efe.
He will play with Everton starting from next season, after his stint with the Grasshoppers expires by the end of the current season.
Everton's Spanish manager Roberto Martinez said on Thursday: "Shani is an enormous young talent in Swiss football who, without a doubt, will have a great future."
For his part, the young player said, "It is a dream for me to sign here at Everton. I am proud and so happy to be here."
