Dubai, Jan 1: Popular Indian cricketer Suresh Raina visited Thumbay Hospital in the city on Thursday, December 31, to launch the ‘Spinal Health Month’ being observed at the hospital from January 1 to 31.
Suresh Raina was welcomed by Dr Ashutosh Sood, chief operating officer of Thumbay Hospital here, Dr Sameer Kumar, assistant administrative director of Thumbay Dental Hospital and other members of the administrative team of Thumbay Hospital. Accompanied by them, he toured the advanced, ultra-modern facilities of the hospital and the adjoining Thumbay Dental Hospital. He also visited the outlets of various Thumbay group brands within the hospital, like Thumbay Medical Tourism, Thumbay Pharmacy, Zo & Mo Opticals, Nutri Plus Vita and Blends & Brews Coffee Shoppe.
Raina was all praise for the latest instruments and state-of-the-art technology in use at the hospital. He described Thumbay Hospital as a very impressive facility; one of the best he had ever seen. He was particularly impressed with the multicultural crowd at the hospital, which he observed, reflected the openness of the hospital to its guests. He then formally launched the ‘Spinal Health Month’ campaign at the hospital.
Hundreds of patients and visitors rushed to catch a glimpse of the cricket star, as he toured the hospital’s facilities. Fans and families from as far away as Abu Dhabi had come to Thumbay Hospital to meet and interact with their favourite cricketer. The star cricketer did not disappoint any of his fans, especially the children. He freely mingled with the crowd of fans, posed for selfies and obliged every autograph request. Raina thanked the visitors for their affection and wished everyone a happy year ahead. Many visitors availed the free consultations with orthopedic surgeons, child specialist, dental specialist, eye specialist and general practitioner, offered by the hospital as part of the celebrity visit.
