Canara Catholics Fujairah hold Christmas celebration

Fujairah, Dec 20: Canara Catholic Fujairah (CCF) held fun-filled Christmas celebration on Friday, December 11 at the Royal Fortune Hotel Fujairah. 

The event started with the invocation led by Assumpta Britto. 

CCF president, Melwin Vas welcomed the gathering and conducted the proceedings. Fr Sagayaraj, parish priest of Fujairah Church graced the occasion with the Christmas message. He emphasized on caring and sharing love during this wonderful season of Christmas.

The crowd added their voices when junior and senior choirs of CCF melodiously sang the Christmas carols. All the attendees enjoyed the fascinating Christmas games conducted by Pramila Barboza.

As customary, Santa Clause arrived on the occasion and distributed gifts and sweets to children. 

Younger girls Larissa and Andrea mesmerized the crowd with their melodious voice. Donel and group performed the dances while Lancy Dantis and group presented the Gumta songs. 

Anson Britto was honoured for achieving distinction in the board exams on the occasion. 

The crowd was kept on its toes with the foot- tapping music played by DJ Roy Veighas. 

The programme concluded with the song ‘laudate’.
