Goa, Dec 15: Juvenile Justice Board in Goa will decide on December 17 whether to allow crime branch to conduct lie detector test on a minor who is one of the prime witnesses in Fr Bismarck Dias death case.
The crime branch had moved to the board seeking its permission to conduct a lie detector test on the minor. The police is not able to crack the case related to death of priest-turned-social worker Fr Dias who was found dead in a river on November 6.
The CB officials said the family members of the minor had not raised their objection for the test but one of the NGOs had intervened.
The board will pronounce it's order on December 17.
The death of Fr Dias was initially investigated by local police but owing to the pressure by various sections the probe is handed over to the crime branch.
