Vir Das to perform in Sunburn Goa

Goa, Dec 3: Standup comedian Vir Das has joined hands with the organisers of Asia’s largest EDM festival Sunburn Goa which will be held from December 27 at state’s Vagatore beach.

“Vir Das has done a musical comedy which would be launched during Sunburn Goa. This is for the first time that we are introducing comedy in the festival which is totally dedicated to the music,” said Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept, the organisers of Sunburn.

The festival will be into its ninth edition in Goa this year.

Singh said introduction of Vir Das is to give something new to the audience, and also to get them early at the festival venue. “For all the four days, he would be performing at 3 pm. This is for the first time that we are introducing a non musical content,” Singh said.

The 36-year-old comedian is a Bollywood figure and known for his movies like ‘Go Goa Gone’ and ‘Delhi Belly’.

“Sunburn is about entertainment and lifestyle. We are entering the tenth year. The brand has already become global. We will be having 365 day celebration of ten years of our event,” Singh said.

The organisers of Sunburn who have promised a bigger and better event this time has already announced a line up of DJs including internationally famed French DJ David Guetta.
