Mumbai, Nov 30 (IANS): "Listen to me Marlon", a fascinating perspective into the life of Hollywood legend Marlon Brando, in his own words, will be screened at the Johnnie Walker The Journey here next month.
Directed by British filmmaker Stevan Riley, the documentary is compiled from over 200 hours of rare private audio tapes the actor recorded throughout his life, read a statement.
Brando, who remained deliberately mysterious to the media and the world at large for his entire professional life, created a vast archive of personal audio and visual materials over the course of his lifetime, often deeply confessional and completely without vanity or evasion.
The film exposes the complexities and contradictions that wove the intricate tapestry of Brando’s personality, thus revealing a man more humane and compelling that anyone could have ever imagined.
In its third edition, Johnnie Walker The Journey, which will be held at the Mehboob Studio here on December 12, will feature famed artists like Giorgio Moroder, Tycho, Explosions in the Sky, and LEO.
The evening will also include interactive workshops and engaging conversations with artists sharing their inspirational journeys.
