Goa gets set for eco-industries

Goa, Nov 30: The state is all set to welcome green industries by offering the special plots in its industrial estates for the eco-ventures. The State run Goa Industrial Development Corporation has identified 90 new plots spreading over 2.13 lac square metres in nine industrial estates.

The GIDC officials said the base price for the plots is between Rs 625 per square metre to Rs 2,200.
The Investment Promotion Board (IPB) has already granted its node for projects cumulatively investigating Rs 4,000 crore. The GIDC has to provide the necessary infrastructure for the projects.
IDC has identified 52 plots in two industrial estates Sanguem and Panchwadi, which are new business enclaves. Total 20 plots are from Kundaim Industrial Estate and six in Pissurlem. The four plots are in Cacora industrial estate.

Two plots each in Canacona, Tuvem, Verna and Cuncolim.
