Japan's unemployment rate improves to 3.1 percent


Tokyo, Nov 27 (IANS): Japan's jobless rate in October fell to 3.1 percent from the previous month's 3.4 percent, marking the lowest level in about 20 years, the country's government data showed on Friday.

Separate government survey also showed that Japan's job availability remained unchanged at 1.24 in October, meaning that 124 positions were available for every 100 job seekers.
