Goa, Nov 25: On completion of the tenure of Bhanu Prakash Tayal as CMD of Konkan Railway Corproation limited, Sanjay Gupta, who is presently working as director (operations and commercial) on Konkan Railway has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of chairman and managing director of Konkan Railway with effect from the afternoon of November 24.
Sanjay Gupta is a mechanical engineer from the Council of Engineering Institution, UK and had taken over as director (operations and commercial) of Konkan Railway with effect from September 30 2013. Gupta has worked on several prestigious posts and assignments on the railways which brings in with a rich experience of more than 29 years as a former IRSME officer of Indian Railways.
