Goa, Nov 25: Sanatan Sanstha has said that the attempt to bribe Sameer Gaikawad, arrested in connection with murder of Govind Pansare, is a terrorist act of progressive element.
“Tempting Sameer Gaikawad, a seeker of Sanatan arrested as a suspect in the killing of Pansare of Rs 25 lac for implicating the persons as desired by the progressive elements, during the Brain Mapping Test and failing which, threatening him with hanging is a terrorist act of progressive elements,” Abhay Vartak, spokesman, Sanatan Sanstha said at a press statement issued here.
Media reports have quoted Gaikawad saying that when he was being taken out of the court an unknown person approached him with an offer of Rs 25 lac to name a person or face hanging.
“This incident proves the lowest limit to which the family members of Pansare and their progressive colleagues can stoop. It is quite evident from this incident that these Marxists progressive elements are not interested in finding the true killers, but want to defame Sanatan Sanstha by hook or crook,” he said.
Sanatan Sanstha is publicly protesting such act. Sanatan Sanstha will be meeting the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and executive president of Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray for not making innocent seeker of Sanatan Sanstha a sacrificial lamb by submitting to the pressure of threats issued by the progressive elements, Vartak said.
He said: Manish Nagori and Vikas Khandelwal, who were earlier arrested in the killing of Dr Dabholkar and later released on bail for the want of any substantial proof had also accused of someone trying to tempt them with a reward of Rs 25 lac.
“If the family members of Dabholkar-Pansare were keen to find out the truth, would the family members of Dabholkar-Pansare and all progressive elements display their loyalty towards seeking the truth by demanding the setting up of a Special Investigation Team under Judiciary to inquire into the allegations of similar nature made by Nagori, Khandelwal and Sameer Gaikwad.”
