Ankara, Nov 24 (IANS): Mustafa Denizli has been appointed the head coach of Turkish football club Galatasaray, replacing Hamza Hamzaoglu, who was sacked.
Denizli, an experienced coach who has guided Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce as well as other clubs, was appointed on Monday, reports Xinhua.
The 66-year-old former Turkish international Denizli is the only coach to have won Turkish league titles with the "Three Big" Istanbul clubs.
Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul, Denizli said that he was excited to take charge.
"Galatasaray is the only club for which I will risk everything," he said.
