Two people booked for bullfight in Goa

Colva, Nov 24: Colva police have arrested two persons in the village for arranging a bull fight which is prohibited under law preventing cruelty to animals.

Police staff who were on the regular rounds had spotted the bullfight on November 22 at 5.45 pm in Seraulim village near Colva. The inquiries revealed that two accused Melvin Fernandes owner of buffalo 'Birble' and Fransisco Colaco who owns bull 'Hampri' had organized the bullfight.

“They intentionally arranged the bullfight for the entertainment of the public, thereby subjecting their to cruelty to animal,” says the police. Both the accused were later bailed out by local court.

    Please punish them. They should not have been released on bail.shey should be fined handsomely and all their cattle confiscated
