Goa, Nov 23: The AYW (AAP Youth Wing) Goa launched a campaign for better roads in Ponda.
Tired of being subjected to dismal quality of roads in many parts of Ponda, volunteers of the AYW Goa led by Ponda coordinators Mayur Arsekar and Vishwesh Naik rolled up their sleeves, picked up their tools and got to work themselves.
The volunteers selected a lane in Ward No 1 of the Ponda Municipal Council and proceeded to fill up the potholes with rubble and mud, to much appreciation from commuters and passers-by who have to navigate the dangerous stretch of road on a daily basis. Other volunteers included Brahmanand Naik, Rama Kankonkar, Pushpesh Naik, Pravit Naik and others.
Coincidently, the local councillors Shivanand and Vincent also visited the site and assured the AAP volunteers that they would take up proper repair and hotmixing of the road shortly.
