Jubail, Nov 23: As a prelude to the cricket tournament being organized by the Reliance Association Bollur, Jubail branch, on November 21, a jersey was launched and captains met for the lots ceremony in a colorful function held at Royal Malabar Restaurant, in the city.
The program commenced on November 21 at 8.20 pm following the traditional and the Islamic way of life by remembering the creator. The captains meet began with the recitation of holy Quran verses by Brother Badruddin Thodar in the presence of all the dignitaries from Al Jubail.
During the captains meet, general secretary Anish Bollur explained through a PowerPoint presentation the community welfare activities of the organization back home in Bollur Haleyangady and also highlighted the RAB activities and its path of achievements since its inception along with future plans. He has requested the participating teams and guests to join hands with the organization to serve beyond religious and linguistic barriers at Haleyangadi.
Salim Udupi who hosted the event as master of ceremony greeted and welcome the dignitaries to the dais.
The team representatives and captains introduced their teams to the guests and the audience.
The lots ceremony was held by the cricket organizing committee chairperson Hidayath Bollur and Altaf Majal.
Reliance championship trophy 2015 rules and regulations list was released by RAB vice president, Anwar Bollur.
For the first time ever in the history of cricket at Jubail, jerseys for all 16 teams were launched by sponsor Imran Mukka, IMS scaffolding, chief guest along with RAB executive members on the dais, which was sponsored by IMS scaffolding, Fabrotech, Al Falah Contracting, and MANCO Contracting.
Branch president Abdul Jaleel presided over the program, RAB NRI co coordinator Badruddin Thaithota concluded the program.
Sports in-charge proposed the vote of thanks.
The event was hosted by mentor Salim Udupi.
As per the schedule Reliance championship trophy 2015 tournament will be held on December 3, 4 10 and 11 at Al Falah Flood Light Cricket Ground, Jubail.
