Video: Indian owns palace-like villa after 33-year stay in Saudi

Nov 17 (Emirates247): An Indian became the owner of a palace-like villa surrounded with a big wall and trees at home after working for nearly 33 years in Saudi Arabia.

A YouTube film published on social networks in the Gulf Kingdom showed Saeed Al Alawi standing at the massive gate and talking about the house, where a luxury car was also parked. He said the house is worth around SR200,000 (Dh200,000) in India.

The Saudi Arabic language daily ‘Sada’, which also published the film, said the man has a son working in the UAE, but it did not mention where in India Alawi lives.

It said he was a worker in Saudi Arabia before going back home, but did not say what his job was.
