Panaji, Nov 16: In a retaliation against Congress’ stand against DefExpo, a BJP legislator Michael Lobo has asked Sonia Gandhi led party unit in the State to come clear on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) land scam.
The Congress party had questioned Goa government’s decision to lease out land in South Goa for DefExpo, which is scheduled to be held next year.
“Congress should first come clear on SEZ land grab scam. I want to remind Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik that the State government has not sold the Betul land to any private party. It has just given it to Defence on temporary basis,” Lobo said addressing reporters in Panaji on Monday.
He said the DefExpo will bring in more than two lakh tourists in the State. Lobo said the event will also give Goa, a national recognition.
