New Rajdhani Train to be flagged off from Goa

Panaji, Nov 15: Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off bi-weekly Rajdhani Express between Madgao-Hazrat Nizamuddin on November 15 Sunday at Madgao railway station, says a press note released here.

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited in a press note released here has said “there was a long pending demand from the people of Goa to run a Rajdhani Express from Madgaon and accordingly the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa, Laxmikant Parsekar had made a special request in this connection to Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble Minister for Railways.”

“Taking into account the difficulties being faced by the people of Goa as also the request of the Goa Government, Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble Minister for Railways will be flagging off the inaugural run of the Bi-weekly Rajdhani Express between Madgaon & Nizamuddin on November 15 from Madgaon Station at 15.00 hrs. This will fulfill the long awaited dream of the people of Goa.”

The regular Bi-weekly Rajdhani Express Train No.22413 will depart Madgaon at 10.05 hrs on every Sunday & Monday and reach H.Nizamuddin at 12.40 hrs on the Next Day. In return direction , Train No. 22414 will leave from H Nizamuddin at 10.55 hrs on every Friday & Saturday and reach Madgaon at 12.55 hrs on the Next Day. This train will have 16 Coaches and will halt at Thivim, Kudal,Ratnagiri, Panvel, Surat, Vadodara and Kota Stations.
