Bihar poll magic can't be repeated in Goa: BJP

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, Nov 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which is still facing ripple effect of Bihar poll debacle told reporters in Goa on Friday that the ‘anti-decadent’ and ‘mood elavator’ that triggered in the Northern state cannot be replicated in Goa.

BJP’s statement comes a day after independents and Congress party in the State have rumoured to have tried Bihar like ‘Mahagathbandhan’ in Goa for 2017 assembly polls.

"The arithmetic went wrong for BJP in Bihar but that does not mean it will repeat itself in Goa too. In Goa, people know the difference between two governments. The mood elavator for Congress will have no impact here," BJP’s Goa spokesman Dr Wilfred Mesquita, who is also a former Congress minister, told reporters.

BJP-led government won 2012 Goa polls leaving Congress to single digit, while a group of five independents was also elected to the state legislative assembly.

The BJP leader took a dig at Congress in the State claiming that "the party (Congress) will be left with no alliance partners in 2017 elections".

There is nothing like Magic. BJP still did not understand the poor but Intelligent Voters . In 2014 people were disappointed with UPA corruptions and modi promised with clean govt with development. People bought his slogan and voted . With 1.5 years people realised that he is only BHASHAN material and he and his sanghis causing damage to Indians tolerant Society . So his vote is getting limited to sanghi voters only. Now the table has turned and they have no signs of realising their mistakes.

People in Goa are slowly realising the hidden agenda unfolding slowly in slaughter ban, minority bashing, intolerance towards criticism, cancelling Good Friday & Christmas Holidays, holding good governance day and Judges meeting on religious holidays etc are well known. All this should be an eye opener to all the Indians. Bringing back of black money stashed abroad and crediting Rs. 15 lakh to each ones account etc has turned out to be a hollow promise. Today, theatrical and oratory does not work. Bihar has shown the way.

Correct. Even though they can eat beef without the fear of losing their head and attend the place of worship without the fear of beating, but the Dadri episode and minority bashing in many of the BJP ruled States along with the tightlipped attitude from Mr. Modi has already alerted the electorate of Goa about the real danger associated with the BJP rule
    in Goa.

The political strategy is fishing at the muddy water, and if they could win the catching plan, then they will try to make the water farther muddy and fulfil the political dream.

The electorate of New Delhi and Bihar has replied very affirmatively.

Let them think so. But there is no harm in trying, especially by throwing out the corrupt and non-performers or defectors, and projecting only clean, efficient and good leaders. Voters will definitely look for a change. If this does not happen, Goa too will follow the Beef and Cow politics of Maharshtra, Dadri, J&K and Kerala Bhavan in Delhi.

Possible. BJP when in power contain their fringe brigades, when out of power, it lets them loose. Baning muthalik is good example.

Most goans do not bother much about politics. All they want is peace and people not infringing their rights.

Congress have to fight both the corrupt perception and find better progressive candidates. BJP too have to fight communal and corrupt perception. For now it is anybody's game.
