Several booked for disrupting tiatr in Margao


Margao, Nov 13 (TOI): Margao town police on Thursday booked an offence against several persons in connection with the incident that led to the disruption of a tiatr at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on Wednesday.

The accused Franky D'Mello from Poriebhat, Verna, Romtom alias Minguel from Pateapur Nuvem, Remy from Nuvem, Terry Fernandes, Peter, Manuel, Valeriano Fernandes from Mazilvaddo, Benaulim, and others (unidentified)have been booked by the police under Sections 143 (forming unlawful assembly), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506-ii (criminal intimidation), and 451 (house-trespass in order to commit offence) of the Indian Penal Code.

The complaint states that the accused formed an unlawful assembly and disrupted the tiatr "by threatening the complainant with dire consequences".

The accused allegedly "trespassed into the green room of female actresses", thereby outraged their modesty, the complaint adds.
