Mangaluru, Nov 5: Valedictory of 'Spandana-2015', a taluk-level Pratibha Karanji (talent show) organized by St Lawrence School was held at St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel here on Thursday November 5.
Speaking at the occasion Lokesh C, district convener of Sarva Shishna Abhiyana said "Lot of activities are conducted throughout the academic year. These competitions help the children to showcase their talents. This will help them in building their future. There are competitions in every walk of life. Whether you win or loose, taking them with competitive spirit is essential. This is beginning of your future. I congratulate everyone for making this two day event successful one."
Speaking at the occasion Fr Andrew D'souza, Bondel Church parish priest said "Everyone here is happy today because the efforts put from the past few days in making this programme successful have been fruitful. The whole idea of prathiba karanji is very helpful to the students and I am thankful to the education department and government for bringing up such an event. I congratulate all those who have involved in making this event a success."
Harinath, president of revenue and standing committee of MCC, said "This competition is helpful in bringing out the talents hidden in children. I am happy to be part of this event as I had studied in this school about 50 years back. Children are the future of this nation. I urge children not to get into bad things and be a good citizen of this nation. I wish all of you success in your future."
Headmistress of St Lawrence English Medium School Monica D'Souza and Fr Andrew D'Souza were felicitated at the occasion.
Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions held in the past two days.
Fr Jason Monis, assistant parish priest of Bondel church, Pitambara K, Rajalakshmi, Reginald D'souza, K K Pejavar, Monica Pinto and others were present.
