Pune, Nov 5 (IANS): Two-wheeler manufacturer Piaggio India will open three to four Motoplex stores in the country by March 2016.
Motoplex stores offer the company's most prestigious brands Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi under the same roof, said Piaggio India MD Stefano Pelle on Wednesday.
"We are very happy to launch South Asia's first Motoplex store in India. The Motoplex store is a futuristic concept that enables a dealer to leverage more brands and products within the same retail space," said Pelle in a statement.
On Tuesday, Piaggio opened its first Motoplex store in India in Pune.
"Not only is this a showroom for Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia and Piaggio motorcycles and scooters, but it is also a fascinating experience of the renowned style, technology and heritage of two-wheeled vehicles which are proudly 'Made in Italy'," Pelle added.
Piaggio plans to open 90 such stores across the world by the end of 2015.
European two-wheeler giant Piaggio Group operates in India under Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited and makes the iconic Vespa and 3-wheeler Ape.
