Doha, Nov 5: Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Doha is all set to host its ever popular Ladies Open Throwball Tournament for the 14th successive year which is conducted annually and is open to ladies of all communities. This tournament will be held on November 12 and 13 at the old Ideal Indian School Grounds, near Midmac Flyover, Salwa Road.

This year 6 teams, namely, Tulu Koota, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Konkan Stars, Al-Khor Community, Al Maha and host team MCC will be vying for the prestigious MCC Trophy. League matches will be played on Thursday November 12 starting at 5.30 pm following a short opening ceremony. The semi-final matches will be held on Friday November 13 starting from 3.00 pm. This will be followed by official stage function around 6.00 pm and then the exciting final match will be played followed by the prize distribution ceremony.

MCC decided that this year there will be a fair play team award in memory of late Prakashchandra Ajila Bunts Doha president who passed away recently.

Ladies throwball tournament has not only provided an avenue for ladies to exhibit their sporting skills but also it brings all communities together to enjoy the game in the best weather and has been an opportunity for all sports lovers, supporter’s and spectators to join in the fun and spirit of the game. MCC invites all sports lovers in Doha to attend in large numbers and enjoy the exciting matches and cheer the teams.
