Udupi, Nov 3: "Karnataka Chief Minister is the main reason in organizing this Samavesha. No development has been seen in the Ahinda movement." said MLA Aravinada Limbavali speaking at the SC/ST, backward class Antyodaya Samavesha held at Kidiyoor hotel on Monday, November 2.
"State has not properly utilized funds even though it has ample funds. The State government short listed the previous schemes. OBC people do not have BPL cards and they do not get enough ration items. The ration items are sold in the black market. CM cheated Ahinda classes by giving false promises." Limbavali added.
BJP MP Sri Ramulu said "The people have started blaming the Congress party. BJP has pressurized to waive interest on farmers' loans. But state government is saying it has acute shortage of finance. The state government declared in 4-5 districts as drought hit. Then how the farmers can repay the loans? The CM should withdraw his decision on payment of interests. The State has spent not more than Rs 2,245 crores out of the total budget Rs 16, 000 crores for the development of OBCs, out of that Rs 800 crores for minorities and Rs 1, 445 crores for other backward classes. Backward class people should get unite to fight to obtain their rights."
BJP senior leader Govinda Karajola said "There is need to provide education for the development of backward class. Social commitment should not be restricted to public speech and state government plans have implemented only in papers. There is no new project is introduced by in two and a half year administration of Congress. This government is acting blind against sand mining mafia. It has no moral right to rule the government."
Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar threw open challenge to CM to make available the list of two year's expenditures and achievements."The coastal people were leading a life of threat from past three-four months. The judicial system is completely decayed at the State. Our people are peace lovers. But recent incidents have made them unhappy." He said.
