'Khatron Ke Khiladi' packs more power for new season


Mumbai, Oct 30 (IANS): “Khatron Ke Khiladi” will make a comeback on the small screen with more action and a bundle of new surprises! With a new host Arjun Kapoor and a new place - Argentina - celebrities including Jay Bhanushali, Sidharth Shukla and "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded" winner Faisal Khan will be adding power to the upcoming season of the stunt-based reality show.

With an underlying theme ‘Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda’, 14 celebrity contestants will overcome their fears when faced with extreme situations, confronted with danger and challenges in the show, an adaptation of the American television show "Fear Factor".

Apart from Jay, Sidharth and Faisal, other contestants taking a plunge into the danger zone of the show are Jay's wife Mahhi Vij, former Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan, actors Tanishaa Mukerji, Sana Saeed, Himmanshoo Malhotra, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Tina Dutta, Vivan Bhatena, Indian hockey player Yuvraj Walmiki and dancing stalwarts Mukti Mohan and Raghav Juyal.

To be shot in the picturesque location of Buenos Aires, Argentina in early November, the show will find a way to the television on Colors channel early next year.

Arjun is making his debut to the small screen space with the show, which has been hosted by Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty and Priyanka Chopra in the past.

But the “Gunday” actor is not bothered by comparisons.

Arjun told IANS: "I think the audience won't tend to compare...With Akshay and me, the age group is different...I don't think there will be a major comparison that way. He's (Akshay) somebody who has achieved a lot in his life. Rohit is also another fantastic personality, and I have my unique personality."
