Gul Panag vrooms to London for bike launch

London, Oct 30 (IANS): Gul Panag's love for bikes has taken her to London for an exclusive launch by superbike maker Triumph. The actress, who added a dose of glamour to the event, says she felt like a "kid in a candyshop" after seeing the mean machines.

The actress, who has always been vocal about her admiration about bikes, attended the launch of all-new 1199cc Triumph Thruxton and Thruxton R, the range-topping duo that herald the arrival of a new collection of five Bonnevilles, on Thursday.

She took the style quotient a notch higher by slipping into a custom-made gown by Gauri and Nainika for the launch, which was attended by a host of international celebrities.

"It was like being a kid in a candyshop. The new Bonnies look awesome - while not losing the classic appeal. I feel very honoured to be in Britain as a special guest of Triumph and share the excitement of the new launches," Gul, who looked stunning in the gown dipped in the hues of red, said in a statement.

Her fascination for bikes is not new. Gul even gave a twist to her wedding by choosing to ride in the side cart of a bike with her husband.

The actress, who has maintained distance from the silver screen post "Ab Tak Chhappan 2", says her relationship with bikes dates back to her childhood.

"All girls in my family ride bikes. I've grown up with this being the done thing. I first rode a bike when I was 16. I had a cousin in the Army who had left a Bullet behind. That was the summer I learned to ride,” she said.
