MAN Trucks forays into coastal Karnataka region with showroom in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Oct 27: With an aim to redefine trucking in the coastal region, MAN Trucks India Pvt Ltd recently inaugurated its maiden showroom at Kulur in the city.

The 3S facility was jointly inaugurated by Jagadish Bhat, managing director, MAN Trucks India Pvt Ltd, Somasundaram, vice-president, sales and marketing and Ahmed Mohiuddin, managing director, Group Delta, in the presence of various guests from in and around Mangaluru.

Ahmed Mohiuddin delivered the welcome address to the gathering emphasizing on the fact that Group Delta decided to take up the dealership of MAN Trucks so that the people of this region could benefit from the services of this German conglomerate. He highlighted the fact that with his Group’s fleet of MAN trucks, he has been able to consistently deliver the expectations of his clients not only in Mangaluru, but also in Goa, Cochin, Tuticorin etc.

With an illustrious history dating back to 1758, MAN takes pride in the fact that it was at its plant in Augsburg that Rudolph Diesel developed the world's first diesel engine during 1897. Pioneers in the automotive industry, with a vision to serve the people of India, MAN Trucks manufactures trucks in India at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

Jagadish Bhat, MD of MAN Trucks India spoke about the history of MAN Trucks in India by highlighting 'ShaktiMan' Trucks, which was serving the Indian Army for almost 40 years. He stressed on the importance of Mangaluru's 3S facility for coastal Karnataka region in order to serve the customers with its products and services..
