Mumbai: Book on Kannada poems written by Bendre released

Mumbai, Oct 19: A book of collection of twelve articles by Dr Jeevi Kulakarni titled 'Mangala Lokada Angalakeri' based on poems by poet Bendre was released under the aegis of Purogami Sahitya Prakashana Hubballi, Narayanamratha Foundation Mysoru and Harshavardhana Prakashana Mumbai at Irla Adamaru Mutt premises on October 17. Retired Supreme court judge, justice Srikrishna presided over the programme.




































Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha Maharastra president Chandrashekar Palethady released the book. Kannada lecturer Dr Poornima S Shetty, Udayavani Mumbai edition Assistant editor Dinesh Shetty Renjala, Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha Maharastra honorary chief secretary Karnataka media academy award winner Rons Bantwal was felicitated by Justice Srikrishna on the occasion.

Dr G N Upadhya introduced the book. Dr Jeevi Kulkarni expressed his opinions.

Senior littérateurs and poets B S Kurkal, Dr Vishwanath Karnad, Simanthooru Chandrahas Suvarna, advocate Vasanth Kalakoti, Nagaraja Padukone, Diwaker Shetty Mudradi, film actor Devadas Shetty, Mumbai university Kannada department students and fans present on the occasion, honored Dr Jeevi by presenting flower bouquets.

Purogami Sahitya Prakashan's Dr K S Sharma welcomed. Maithriya Kulakarni and Viveka Patil led the prayer. Surekha Naik welcomed,introduced the guests and compered the programme. Harshavardhan Kulakarni congratulated the author. Narayanamratha Foundation's N R Rao proposed Vote of thanks.
