Odisha government hikes DA by six percent


Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 (IANS): The Odisha government on Saturday presented a Dussehra bonanza to its employees by announcing a six percent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) with effect from July 1, 2015.

As many as four lakh government employees would be benefited with the hike in the DA approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

With the latest hike, the DA for government employees now stands at 119 percent.

It will be applicable to all state government employees, including the work charged and job contract employees, besides the pension holders, the government said in a statement.

According to statement,the employees would avail the enhanced DA in their salary from October, 2015.
