Chennai, Oct 5 (IANS): Director Surender Reddy has been roped in to direct the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster "Thani Oruvan".
The remake will feature Ram Charan in the lead.
"Surender has been finalised to direct the project. We are in the process of finalising the rest of the cast and crew," D.V.V. Danayya, who has acquired the Telugu remake rights of the film, told IANS.
This will be Danayya's second Telugu outing in a row with Ram Charan, whose forthcoming release "Bruce Lee: The Fighter" has also been produced by the former.
The pre-production work on the remake will start post the release "Bruce Lee: The Fighter".
"Thani Oruvan", which has already grossed over Rs.70 crore, is a stylish thriller about the face-off between a righteous policeman and a rich, conniving entrepreneur.
