Mumbai, Sep 28: Riding high on the success of his recently released movie Kis Kis Ko Pyar Karun, Comedian Kapil Sharma says that given that many actors work in various genres, gone are the days when people thought comedians could not be actors.
Speaking about the success of the movie that has earned close to Rs 30 crores since its release four days ago, Kapil said, "It feels good when your efforts are appreciated. I was not expecting such a positive response. Gone are the days when there was a myth that a comedian cannot play a hero. Today actors want to portray diverse characters. They don't want to get typecast as a romantic hero only and many actors nowadays like to play negative characters. So, the reception of people has changed and it's a good thing."
KKKPK is a humorous family drama which has Kapil as the husband of three women due to various circumstances and to top it all off, he has a girlfriend. As the husband to three women Kapil has to constantly juggle between the three different floor on which each of his wives live, in the same building. His friend, played by Varun Sharma helps him keep up his charade to all the three wives and his girlfriend.
