Riyadh, Sep 28 (IANS): Saudi authorities said two Islamic State (IS) militants involved in a mosque attack in August, were killed in the capital Riyadh and the city of Dammam on Monday.
The Saudi interior ministry said in a statement that security forces carried out four simultaneous operations in Riyadh and Dammam to arrest an IS cell which had links with the mosque attack, Xinhua news agency reported.
The attack that targeted a mosque inside a special forces headquarters in the southern city of Abha left 15 people dead.
The ministry added that three other IS members were arrested in the operations.
