Hema elated as Esha's movie Care of Footpath 2 picked for Oscars

Mumbai, Sep 26: An ecstatic Hema Malini tweeted her happy news on the micro blogging site about her daughter Esha's bilingual movie Care of Footpath 2 being picked for the Academy Awards.  The movie is made in both Kannada and Hindi, where in Esha plays an advocate who fights for justice.

It will be the first Kannada movie to be in the race to the Oscars. Dreamgirl Hema Malini tweeted that, "Wonderful news which I must share with all of u! Esha's bilingual movie in Kannada & Hindi has made a lateral entry into the 2016 Oscars!" She followed this initial tweet with more news such as, "Care of Footpath 2 - Kannada Kill Them Young - Hindi. Premiere will be in LA, USA. In Oct. before release in India. The movie will be released in Hollywood style with a lot of fanfare! All India release in Nov. Esha plays the role of Meera, a bold advocate fighting for justice.1st time a Kannada film has won an Oscar entry! Such a proud moment for me when I heard about ths honour! With ths she is one step ahead of us both. Felt I must share my joy with all of u!"

Directed by Guinness World Record holding director Kishan Srikanth, the movie is a sequel to the 2006 movie by the same name. Avika Gor from Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka is also part of the cast. The movie will be released in Hindi as Kill Them Young. Here's hoping the movie gets its just rewards for all the hard work put in by the cast and crew members.
