Mumbai, Jul 14: Karnataka Journalists' Forum Maharastra was formed with a view to bringing together Kannada journalists working in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, at a function held earlier during the week in the Karnataka Sangha's Dr Visvesvaraya Memorial hall, Matunga (W), which was presided over by ‘Karnataka Malla’ daily's editor, Chandrashekar Palettady.
Advocate Sanjeev Kanchan, advocate Rohini Salian, advocate B.Mohiuddin Mundkoor, advocate Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, R K Shetty (LIC) and Dr Sunita M Shetty were the special invitees while veteran journalist Vasant S Kalakota and K T Venugopal were present.

“The dream of veterans of Kannada journalists for the past four decades in the greater Mumbai has been realized in forming the Forum. The credit for forming Kannada Journalists Forum Maharastra goes to Rons Bantwal who has created a record in Kannada journalism,” all the dignitaries opined.
Dr Sunita M Shetty commended the committee and wished them all well in their endeavour.
Rons Bantwal gave the introductory speech. Dayasagar Chowta welcomed and comperedthe programme. K N Shiva Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
