Panaji, Sep 24 (TOI): Surendra Furtado former Mayor of the Corporation of the City of Panaji, in his press note has stated that the murders of leftist Govind Pansare and academician M M Kalburgi are instances of organized crime against free thinkers. No organization in India is given the sanction of taking law into its own hand. The office bearers and masterminds of Sanatan Sanstha should be immediately arrested and the organization's licence should be revoked forthwith.
Furtado further stated that Goa is a state wherein social harmony is prevalent for decades now. Youth who are disenchanted are drawn by such organizations and are influenced by their extremist ideologies. In the interest of maintaining social harmony the evil designs of such organizations have to be nipped in the bud so as to put a halt to proliferation of such extremist organizations and thus maintain the social fabric of Goa which is a tolerant society wherein harmony of all peoples is the order of the day. For every grievance, however serious it may be the law of the land is to be referred to so as to redress your grievance.
Organizations indulging in criminal acts should be immediately extinguished so that the law of the land becomes paramount and citizens become law abiding. In the greater interest of the state, the Sanatan Sanstha should be banned so as to foil its agenda of revenge and crime against those whose views they cannot accept said Furtado.
