New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS): Maybelline New York has entered into a partnership with Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) for the forthcoming Amazon India Fashion Week Spring-Summer’16. This is the first time the global cosmetic brand has tied up for an Indian fashion week.
The fashion gala, which is scheduled from October 7-11 at NSIC Grounds here, serves as a platform for young as well as established beauty and style talent. The brand has tied up with the fashion week as the associate sponsor.
With the collaboration, the global cosmetic brand, which has been a trendsetter in the field, will be giving a glimpse of international beauty fads.
Sunil Sethi, president of FDCI, noted that the partnership is a signal of the growing “Indian cosmetic industry”.
“The Indian cosmetic industry is burgeoning and this collaboration will only bolster our commitment towards adding a colourful landscape to the event,” Sethi said in a statement.
Pooja Sahgal, general manager of Maybelline New York - India, said: “Through our presence at this platform, we hope to inspire women to create their own unique style statements with make-up and empower them with the mantra of ‘Make it Happen’”.
Sahgal also noted that she looks “forward to the season” to launch a new make-up range that encompasses the brand's spirit.
