Paris, Sep 21 (IANS): Britain and Belgium will fight for the Davis Cup title after they both secured surprise final berths late Sunday.
Belgium worked their way to their first Davis Cup final since 1904 while Britain made their first final since 1978, Xinhua news agency reported.
Britain overcame Australia in Glasgow after world number three Andy Murray beat Bernard Tomic 7-5, 6-3, 6-2 in the first reverse singles.
With two-time Grand Slam winner Murray in their ranks, they will be filled with confidence to win a first Davis Cup since 1936 when they go to Belgium for the November 27-29 final.
Belgium clinched a 3-2 victory over Argentina in Brussels with Steve Darcis, the world number 64, needing a fourth match point to defeat Federico Delbonis 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
