London, Sep 20 (IANS): Late singer Amy Winehouse, who tragically passed away at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning, didn't think she would live past that age, says Asif Kapadia, director of the documentary "Amy".
"I've spoken to quite a few people who said that when she was getting to 27, she was saying to them, 'I don't think I'm gonna get past this age.' Because it becomes a mental block for artists," Kapadia told pagesix.com.
Many artists including founder and original bandleader of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones; guitarist Jimi Hendrix; musician Kurt Cobain; singers Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison too died at the age of 27.
