Rithvik, Asha to host TV show together for first time


Mumbai, Sep 19 (IANS): Actress Asha Negi, who will be co-hosting the forthcoming special show “Deva Shree Ganesha” along with her boyfriend and actor Rithvik Dhanjani, says it was a “special” moment for her to share screen space with him for the first time.

To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi,“Deva Shree Ganesha”, an initiative by Sony Entertainment Television, will feature some power packed performances by celebrities from both Bollywood and TV who will pay tribute to Lord Ganesha.

“I felt very much ready for my first big event after hosting the whole season of 'Indian Idol Junior'. The whole team of the show has always motivated and supported me in my hosting which of course helped me a lot while co-hosting 'Deva Shree Ganesha' event. This event was very special since Rithvik and me were hosting together for the first time,” Asha, who co-hosted the second season of “Indian Idol Junior” with Hussain Kuwajerwala, said in a statement.

Some of the celebrities who will be seen adding star power to the special show are Amruta Khanvilkar, Aishwarya Sakhuja and “Indian Idol Junior” contestants among others.

The biggest highlight of the evening will be Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor who will enthrall the viewers with a power packed performance. Apart from her, actress Esha Koppikar will also be seen.

Music composer duo Ajay-Atul will present a special 'Aarti' for Ganesha.

“Deva Shree Ganesha” will be aired on Sunday.
