Kolkata, Sep 15 (IANS): A two-day film fest on disability beginning here on September 25 will salute the triumph of human resolve to trump disabilities, organisers said on Tuesday.
The British Council, in association with Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy and Nandan, is organising a film festival on disability on September 25 and 26 at the Nandan-2 theatre, ahead of World Cerebral Palsy Day on October 7.
Four films will be screened during the fest highlighting the indomitable human spirit: Irish filmmaker Jim Sheridan's "My Left Foot", Tim Webb's multi-award winning animated documentary "A is For Autism", "Wheelchair" by Indian filmmaker Tapan Sinha and James Marsh's biographical drama on physicist Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything".
A discussion on the impact of cinema in spreading social messages will be held on the second day.
