Gothenburg, Sep 7 (IANS): Former Liverpool star John Arne Riise, who will play for Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos this season, says his team's coach-cum-player, Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos has asked him to take up added responsibility.
"Roberto noticed that I talk a lot to the younger lot in training and has told me to do more of it to get the intensity up in the squad," Riise was quoted as saying by goal.com on Monday.
"I have always looked up to Roberto for his passing and shooting ability. It is fabulous that he is my coach this ISL," the former Norwegian star added.
Carlos' presence in the side is expected to boost the confidence of the outfit which failed to reach the semi-finals last season. Riise says he still feels a touch intimidated and awe-struck whenever he is in the presence of the Brazilian World Cup winner.
"Look at those legs, they are still so massive! I waited for two days to take a picture with him. Asking for a photo right away cannot be the first thing you do!" said the 34-year-old.
Delhi Dynamos are presently here for their pre-season camp.
